Challenge
CONFUSING NAVIGATION
The website’s confusing navigation, cluttered content layout, and complex sign-up process led to user frustration and high drop-off rates. Key resources like membership benefits and event listings were hard to find, and the poor mobile experience further hindered engagement.
Solution
SIMPLIFIED FLOW & INTUITIVE DESIGN
Simplified navigation, reorganized content with clear visual hierarchy, and streamlined the sign-up flow to reduce friction. Improved mobile responsiveness and added filters for event listings, making it easier for users to access resources and complete desired actions, resulting in higher engagement and conversions.

User Interviews
James C Digital Product Innovator
1. What prompted you to visit the Digital Village Network website?
2. What specific information were you hoping to find on the website?
3. How easy was it for you to find the information you needed?
4. What content do you feel is missing that would benefit your journey?
"I was looking for resources and support to help me develop my digital product idea."
"I wanted access to guides on product development, best practices, and maybe templates to help streamline the process."

"I’d like to see case studies or success stories from other digital product innovators."
5. How likely are you to return to the website for more resources?
"I would definitely return if I could easily find the information I need and if there were regular updates."
Usability Study
Conducted remote usability tests with 10 participants representing target audience segments. Observing users as they navigated the current website to complete specific tasks (e.g., finding resources, signing up). Identifying key friction points and areas of confusion within the existing design. Collecting qualitative feedback on the overall user experience.

Site Map
The site map for the Digital Village Network was restructured to simplify navigation and improve content discoverability. Key sections, such as The network, Case studies, Consulting Services, Podcast and Blog, were reorganised to create a more intuitive flow, making it easier for users to access relevant information and engage with the platform.
Home Page
Sketches
hese sketches provided a low-cost, quick way to iterate on different concepts and refine the overall user experience. They also facilitated early-stage feedback, ensuring alignment with user needs and project goals before diving into detailed design work.

About Page

Wireframes
I created a wireframe to establish the visual hierarchy and layout of key pages, ensuring that the content was organized in a user-friendly manner. The wireframe focused on optimizing the placement of navigation elements, call-to-action buttons, and informational sections to guide users effortlessly through the site. By mapping out interactions and content flow, the wireframe served as a blueprint for aligning design and functionality. It allowed for quick iterations based on feedback and helped identify any potential usability issues early in the process.

A/B Testing
A/B Testing was conducted to compare different design variations and determine which elements drove higher engagement and conversions. Two versions of the homepage and membership sign-up flow were tested, focusing on improving clarity, navigation, and CTA effectiveness. The tests revealed that a streamlined sign-up form and a concise value proposition significantly increased user interactions. Key metrics such as click-through rates and completion rates were tracked to measure success. This data-driven approach helped validate design decisions, leading to a 30% increase in membership sign-ups and improved overall usability.
